Spanish

Our Spanish class offers a fun and immersive learning experience to learn and practice a new language. Starting at the beginner level, we cover the basics of the alphabet, numbers, colors, and many other common vocabulary words. Each week, we will build on our foundations and add grammatical concepts into the lesson and work towards building phrases, sentences, and eventually paragraphs. Learning a new language through a virtual platform allows for students to participate in many games and conversations. Learning a new language requires true immersion; students are expected to complete homework outside of class time and practice vocabulary and conversation skills. During class time, the teacher will aim to conduct the majority of course instruction in Spanish, although English clarification will be provided as needed. Students will grow comfortable receiving instruction and asking questions in Spanish and will draw parallels between their other language studies to their course in Spanish. 

 All classes follow the Standard Spanish curriculum of each grade. Our low cost Spanish classes are here to:

• Provide practices for Spanish conversation, especially for families that have no Spanish speaking background

• Improve comprehension of materials which are learned at school;

• Assist students in Spanish homework.

All Spanish teachers are from top colleges of America, or native Spanish speakers. They have either tutoring or teaching experience, or are majoring in related areas.

Classes run all year round, meeting once a week for 1.5 hours during the school year. Each class has a maximum of 5 students. Semi-private lessons (up to 3 students) and private lessons are also available.
