Math
At Blue Sky Eschool, math classes offer children (Grade 3 to 12) a place of accelerated and fun math learning. We follow core math curriculums in American schools, going beyond formula memorization to focus on critical thinking and mathematical reasoning. Our classes also go through additional challenging questions from different sources to help students to develop their math critical thinking skills.
Our math classes are taught in a way that allows students to learn and interact with classmates through direct instruction from a teacher, to explore and learn from mistakes, and to participate in group settings. In class, students are encouraged to participate and ask questions, give their input, and experiment with the different ways to solve questions—and eventually determine the most effective way to reach the correct answer. The class involves a hands-on lesson where students actively participate using the whiteboard function and work through practice problems. Every few months, students take a test of all the material covered until that point as a measure of their progress.
Classes usually run all year round, and meet once a week for an hour and half. But we can customize the class frequency and length for student.
Most classes are in a small group setting which will allow students to interact with each other and learn from common mistakes, questions, and other ways to re-phrase the material. Small class size allows our students to work closely with the instructor and gain personalized learning experience. All our instructors are from top American universities. They all have a strong expertise in the subject and love teaching.
Through our math classes students will feel more comfortable and confident with their math skills, excel in math and science at school!
