Competition Training

Competition training class is one of our popular classes. For middle school students, we offer AMC8, and Math Counts training classes. High school students will be able to join classes such as AMC10, AMC12, AIME, and Physics Olympiad (F=ma), Computing Olympiad, and Chemistry Olympiad.

Classes are taught in a small group setting, 1.5-hour or 2 hours long for each class session. Every week, the students receive homework for routine practices on questions seen in competitions. During class, the instructor will go over the homework and explain how to solve the problems or explore different ways of solving the problems. New knowledge or concepts will be reviewed or reinforced if needed.

Instructors are either top performers at the AMCs, or qualifiers at USAMO/USJMO level, or Silver/Golder award winners at F=ma, USACO, or Chemistry Olympiad. MATHCOUNTS instructors are either members of a State MATHCOUNTS team or team instructors.

In America, the math Olympiad has several competition levels: AMC8->AMC10/AMC12->AIME->AMO/JMO->MOSP->TST->IMO.

For advanced math students at middle school, Mathcounts is one of the major competitions in the USA. Each State forms the state team with the top four students of the state Mathcounts Competition to participate in Mathcounts National. Our Mathcounts class provides practices and prepares the students to be more familiar with this competition.

AMC competitions are designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills, and provide an opportunity for students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future study and careers.

We also offer training classes for other US Olympiad subjects, such as F=ma, USACO, USNCO,USABO etc.
