SAT/ACT Prep
SAT/ACT Prep class uses a focused curriculum that makes our students experts in the kinds of problems they will see on test day, to build stamina and deepen core knowledge and competencies. We do targeted learning in the individual skills and problem styles that real SAT exams use, and teach powerful test-taking skills that lead to greater confidence and higher scores. Practice tests are pulled from previous exams and official college board materials, so the content will match the style of real exams as closely as possible.
Classes meet once a week for 2 hours. The course begins with a diagnostic SAT/ACT. The instructor uses these results to focus the curriculum on the students’ specific needs. Throughout the course, students will take additional practice tests to ensure they are making progress and get ready for the real test.
Students are assigned homework every week so that they are getting the practice they need. In each session, the instructor will start by reviewing the homework with the class or a quick quiz. The instructor also helps students develop strategies and skills so that they effectively tackle the SAT/ACT math and English section.
We offer SAT/ACT prep classes in English and Math. Throughout SAT/ACT English Prep course, students will:
Build their vocabulary
Read a passage carefully and be able to analyze the argument
Enhance their grammar skills
Write more clearly and persuasively
